German businesses don't want Brexit

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The possibility of a British exit from the European Union is exercising businesses around Europe. And across the continent, there are also concerns about immigration - last year, one million people went to Germany seeking asylum; the largest number were from war-torn Syria. Plus there is rising euroscepticism in Germany and around Europe. Rob Young has been discussing all of this with Markus Kerber, the head of the BDI, which represents German industry. He's says it would be "very, very foolish" if the EU or UK imposed trade barriers or tariffs on each other. But he hopes the UK will stay in the EU. (Picture: British, European and German flags.
