Six O'Clock News

Available for over a year

The England football manager, Roy Hodgson, and captain Wayne Rooney have urged supporters to avoid a repeat of the clashes with Russian fans on Saturday. UEFA has threatened to expel both sides if there is any more violence. French police said much of the trouble was caused by gangs of "hyper-fast", "hyper-violent" Russian hooligans known as Ultras, which have links to the far right. Steve Rosenberg looks at the story behind the Russian gangs. (Photo: Russian fans clash with England supporters in Marseille. Credit: EPA)
