Orange seagull found in curry sauce dubbed 'Gull-frezi'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

A vet nurse has described her “shock” at a seagull that was brought into her clinic covered in tikka masala sauce. Lucy Kells, who is a veterinary nurse at the Vale Wildlife hospital near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, said she was brought a box that “smelled like a take-away”, but actually contained the bright orange bird. The seagull, who has been dubbed ‘Gull-frazi’, was found scavenging in a bin at a food factory. He was then taken to the animal hospital where he was returned to his natural colour using washing-up liquid. This clip is originally from 5 live Drive on Thursday 9 June 2016.
