Created in 1961, the Dorset Wildlife Trust has six visitor centres and a training centre in the county. With a membership of 25,000, the trust works to protect the wildlife and its habitat. The Urnam Wildlife Centre in Corfe Mullen sits on Upton Heath. It is home to many native species, as trainee conservation officer Jack Bedford explained to BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley.
