But how many others could possibly make the journey he did? For the generation of kids in Leicester and Leicestershire he's inspired, what are the opportunities for them to emulate their hero? BBC Radio Leicester's Danielle Hunt has been to see what the state of play is like for grassroots football in Leicester and Leicestershire. But, as she's been finding out, its not all pitch perfect.
