The BBC’s weekly global news audience has increased by 13% to a total of 348 million.The director of the BBC World Service Group, Francesca Unsworth gives her thoughts as to why this might be, and outlines what more they need to do to reach their target of 500 million by 2022. She also reassures listeners that the recent white paper from the UK Government will not affect the impartiality or quality of BBC World Service content.
