The US economy has barely grown at all in the last three months, sharply down to 0.5%, compared with 1.4% growth in the prior three months. Facebook shares have jumped after reporting a tripling of first quarter profits from a year earlier - we ask if we should be worried by its growing power. Four years ago, after a series of scandals, the Vatican pledged to be more transparent, but the latest annual report from its financial watchdog has highlighted more than five hundred suspicious transactions in the last year alone.
