A Hiroshima survivor and her American in-laws

Boston Calling

Available for over a year

US Secretary of State John Kerry made an historic visit to the Japanese city of Hiroshima earlier this week. He's the highest-ranking American official to ever visit the city, where seventy years ago the US dropped an atomic bomb that killed more than one-hundred thousand people. Many survivors of the blast have a complicated, to say the least, relationship with America. But for Sueko Hada, it’s especially personal.
