Gas Lit Empire

Talking History

Available for over a year

Imagine Leicester in the present day but in an alternative world. A world where there are airships and trains but no cars. A world where Leicester is the border between a divided country. Well that's the setting for a trilogy of novels by Leicester author Rod Duncan. His heroine Elizabeth Barnabus lives a double life - as herself and as her brother, the private detective. She is on the run, trying to solve mysteries on the way in the world of the Gas Lit Empire. Rod Duncan has created a very real world, very difference from our own. He took Bridget Blair on a tour of the Leicester of his imagination and how our city was the inspiration for this world.
