Winchester reading charity secures funding to continue its work

Julian Clegg

Available for over a year

A charity that helps adults learn to read has secured enough funding to be able to continue into another year. Read Easy Winchester launched on BBC Radio Solent last year, and has now recruited 22 volunteers and is currently working with ten adults on improving their reading skills. The scheme is free and provides one to one tuition. BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley met Steve, one of the adults who regularly attends reading sessions in Winchester.
