President Jerry Rawlings succeeded by John Agyekum Kufuor in Ghana elections. The new era for the country began on the 19th anniversary of the military coup that brought Mr Rawlings to power. Also on the programme, ritual killings in Liberia and soil erosion hits central Kinshasa.
