MH370 relative: We have suffered endlessly

PM

Available for over a year

On the second anniversary of the disappearance of flight MH370, a group of relatives held a prayer ceremony in Beijing. The date marks the end of the period allowed under international law for legal claims to be logged. A relative who lost her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter told BBC reporter John Sudworth, "Ever since the plane went missing, we have had to deal with the police everyday. They try to control us, they arrest us. We have suffered endlessly because of them." Another relative refuses to take the compensation, she said, "I have such a heavy heart. There is no closure. Chinese families are special because of the one child policy. This has been such a heavy blow." (Image: Police stop Dai Shuqin from showing her writings. Credit: Reuters)
