The gender bending chemicals

Discovery

Available for over a year

How industrial chemicals are finding their way into our food, drink and bodies. Many of the chemicals are banned, chemicals such as the insecticide DDT, and PCBs and dioxins; most of these are by-products but even at trace levels some scientists believe they can interfere with our sex hormones. The programme looks at the argument for and against the 'gender bending' influence of the chemicals.
