The Academy Awards are typically dominated by Hollywood blockbusters that end up dubbed into dozens of languages, to be seen on movie screens all across the globe. But American film studios, like Sony Pictures and Universal Pictures, are going global in a different way too. They are making movies specifically for foreign markets in their local languages.
