Should estate agents' 'To Let' boards be banned in certain parts of Leicester? Well that's what Leicester City Council is proposing to do. It after a consultation last year in the areas around De Montfort University and the University of Leicester which found that some people living there thought there were just far too many of them around. The Council is now looking to apply to the Government for legal powers to ban the display of the boards, and councillors are being advised to authorise the application, at a meeting later this month. But some agents say it could mean the loss of thousands of potential customer,- as BBC Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair reports.
