The EU's Competition Commissioner, Magrethe Vestager, has told the Today programme she would be willing to investigate Google's tax arrangements with Britain, if someone made a complaint. The comments come as the Commission prepares to announce measures designed to prevent tax avoidance by multi-national companies. The commissioner told presenter Nick Robinson that at this stage, she would not be drawn on whether Google's tax settlement with Britain amounted to a sweetheart deal.
