Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell says sportswear giant Adidas ending its IAAF sponsorship deal four years early will have a "huge" impact on athletics. Understood to be a direct result of the doping scandal engulfing the sport, sources say the move could cost the IAAF and its commercial partner Dentsu tens of millions of dollars in revenue. "It's one thing to say we won't be renewing our contract after 2019 but to actually terminate your contract now, seven, eight months before the start of the Olympic Games, this is huge," Campbell said. He added that the World Anti-Doping Authority’s recent report shone a light on what had been “[swept] under the carpet" and expressed surprise at the apparent lack of awareness of wrongdoing. "For me to hear that certain people in the IAAF didn't hear anything, I just really can't believe it," he said. This clip is originally from Stephen Nolan on Sunday 24 January 2016.
