Available for over a year

Northants Police issued 2,000 cautions, including for drug trafficking and child cruelty, between April 2014 and March 2015. The figures, released to BBC Northampton under the Freedom of Information Act, relate to a period before new government laws were brought in banning the use of simple cautions for serious offences except in exceptional cases. The chief constable of Northamptonshire Police, Simon Edens, says the force in now "doing a lot better" in terms of those cautions issued.
