Zidane a 'Risky Decision' - Calderon

Sport Today

Available for over a year

The former Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon has told the BBC World Service that there are two sides to the 'risky decision' of appointing Zinedine Zidane as the club's new manager. Zidane was named as the successor to Rafael Benítez at the start of January and Calderon admitted that the fans respect him and remember him well as a 'great player'. However, he added that 'despite that, they are going to demand titles' and should Zidane fail, 'the President (Florentino Perez) can't be any more in his position'. Picture: Zinedine Zidane.
