County council to make further £7.5m in cuts

Stuart Linnell

Available for over a year

Conservative Councillor Bill Parker, who is responsible for finance at Northamptonshire County Council, has said that'll it be "very difficult" to an extra £7.5m in cuts. The authority is to make the extra savings from it's budget for the next financial year, on top of £77m of cuts already planned. They say the financial settlement from central government was lower than expected, but it’s too early to say where the cuts will be made.
