The 12-year-old double Grammy nominee

Newsday

Available for over a year

12-year-old Joey Alexander from Indonesia has become one of the youngest ever musicians to be nominated for two Grammy awards. Joey is in the running for best improvised jazz solo album and best jazz instrumental album at the music industry's biggest awards gala in February. At the age of eight, Joey had already performed for jazz legend Herbie Hancock at an event in Jakarta. He has been telling Newsday's Andrew Peach where he got his passion for jazz.
