Available for over a year

The Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has paid tribute to the impact Jimmy Hill made on the English game following his death at the age of 87. As chairman of the PFA, Hill led the campaign for the scrapping of maximum wages for professional footballers. “All players owe him a big debt and he’s probably the football personality of my life,” Taylor said. “He’s such a gentleman and would light up every room,” he added. He played 297 games for Fulham and was later manager and chairman at Coventry. Hill, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2008, made more than 600 appearances as presenter of the BBC's Match of the Day programme. This clip is from 5 live Sport, Saturday 19 December 2015.
