We are dependent on water for all aspects of life, but groundwater is depleted and streamflows have diminished to the point they cannot support aquatic systems any more. Water demand has more than tripled since 1950 - what's the impact? Also on the programme water supply in Bangladesh and the shrinking of the Aral sea between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
