A vast land, much of it uninhabited, Russia could be an ecological paradise, but with a new open market, how much of a priority is the environment in a post-Communist era? This programme looks at rotting, leaking oil pipelines, the plight of the Saiga antelope and the sensitivity of the ecosystem of lake Baikal.
