Today

Available for over a year

Photographer John Stewart worked with such icons as Picasso, Matisse and Muhammad Ali, having already survived three-and-a-half years during World War Two as a Japanese prisoner of war on Burma's 'death railway'. The BBC's Hugh Schofield went to the village of Gordes in Provence to speak to Mr Stewart about his remarkable life.
