Day-night tests and pink balls: A new era for cricket?

The first ever day-night Test match starts this week, with Australia taking on New Zealand in the third Test in Adelaide. The use of floodlights means a pink ball will be used in a Test for the first time, with the later start time designed to encourage bigger attendances. "You can't play with a red ball under lights," said John Stevenson, head of cricket at the Marylebone Cricket Club. "Bounce, hardness, all those properties are identical," said Brett Elliot, managing director of Kookaburra. Our sports reporter Alison Mitchell has reports from Adelaide.
