European and African leaders met in Malta this week to discuss responses to the influx of refugees fleeing the conflict in Syria for Europe. The numbers of people making the dangerous journey to Europe have become so huge that they seem difficult to comprehend. In print media you have the benefit of graphs and charts to show the scale.
