Mother and son Mary and Ephraim Nguwe reflect on the Soweto riots in June 1976, when police opened fire on a crowd of students protesting at the use of Afrikaans in schools. Twenty-three demonstrators were killed and 200 others were wounded. Ephraim took part in the demonstration and witnessed the massacre. Presented by Catherine Fellows.
