Aged just 17 and just about to start her dream University course, Rachel was diagnosed with leukaemia; and spent the next four months in isolation whilst undergoing treatment, receiving 40 blood transfusions. It was then that she started blogging, beginning a journey that would see her seize life afresh. She now campaigns for greater awareness of cancer symptoms in young people, and for more people to become blood donors. She told Shereen what life was like before it all.
