Unprecedented and continuing torrential rain in Kenya is washing away all hopes of good crops, as well as helping to spread Rift Valley fever. Plus, new water-loving root systems for tomatoes. And internet learning via the online Univeristy of Tropical Agriculture is launched in Vietnam by Dr Reg Preston as an alternative to sending students overseas to study.
