Patients will be "inevitably anxious" about NHS changes, says the Healthwatch Surrey watchdog. Some services at community hospitals in Molesey and Epsom are expected to close. And hospitals in Guildford, Ashford and Chertsey are to merge. The NHS trust chairman for the Royal Surrey County hospital in Guildford says millions of pounds will be saved by cutting duplicate staffing rather than patient services.
