Exploring the concept of "No Man's Land"

Newsday

Available for over a year

A British expedition is travelling across Europe and into North Africa to explore the concept of 'No Man's Land'. The team of academics from Royal Holloway, University of London and Durham University will be travelling 6,000 miles from the hamlet of Nomansland in England, to Bir Tawil, a disputed territory on the Egypt-Sudan border. Newsday spoke to the two academics on the journey - Alasdair Pinkerton and Noam Leshem.
