Serena Williams is the greatest female player says McEnroe

John McEnroe says Serena Williams is the greatest ever female tennis player even if she fails to complete the calendar Grand Slam at the US Open. Williams, who is the world number one and currently holds all four Grand Slam titles, is just two victories away from winning the first calendar Slam since 1988. "She's the greatest female player I've ever seen," McEnroe said. Victory at Flushing Meadows would take her to 22 majors, matching the total of Steffi Graf who was the last player to win all four Grand Slams in the same season, in 1988. "I think Serena is one of the all-time greatest athletes, period. Man or woman," added McEnroe. This clip is from 5 live Sport, Friday 11 September 2015.
