5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Bertie the tortoise has broken a Guinness world record that has stood since 1977, by becoming the world's fastest tortoise at a speed of 0.6 miles-per-hour. His owner, Janine Calzine from County Durham, said it was customers at the children's adventure park she owns, who noticed he was "really fast for a tortoise" and "loves walking around". The ten-year-old South African leopard tortoise "enjoys being out and meeting people" according to Janine, who added that he has not managed to run away from her yet. This clip is originally from 5 live Drive on Thursday 10 September 2015.
