Police Scotland to appoint new Chief Constable

Police Scotland will start the process for appointing a new Chief Constable soon, said Michael Matheson, Scottish Justice Secretary. The Chief Constable of Police Scotland, Sir Stephen House, announced his intention to step down by the end of the year, nine months early. "He wants to look for new opportunities and he has decided the time is right to move on," said Mr Matheson. "We respect his decision in deciding to leave."
