Available for over a year

The widow of a well known Bangladeshi-American writer has spoken out about the rise in attacks on secular writers in Bangladesh. Rafida Bonya Ahmed, whose husband Avijit Roy was murdered when they returned home from a book fair in Dhaka, claims attackers are given "a free pass" and "can kill in broad daylight." "Nobody came forward. Police didn't even help to take us to the hospital." When asked if the Prime Minister got in touch with her after her husband was attacked, she said "are you kidding me? no."
