5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Ron Howard, who directed teenager Tom Holland in movie In The Heart Of The Sea, says the British 19-year-old will bring “heart and humour” to his new Spiderman role. Howard, a veteran of many Hollywood films including Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind, said: “Tom's young, incredibly agile and fit. He's also very accessible and very relatable. He's one of us and has tremendous skills as an actor." Holland was announced on Tuesday by Marvel and Sony as the latest Spiderman, replacing Andrew Garfield. The teenager has previously starred as Billy Elliott onstage and was featured in the BBC's Wolf Hall. This clip is originally from Adrian Goldberg on Tuesday 23 June 2015
