BBC's Barry Davies recalls Heysel Stadium disaster 30 years on

The BBC’s Barry Davies was commentating on the European Cup Final in Brussels on 29 May 1985, when violent clashes erupted. 39 football fans died and hundreds were injured. A wall separating the rival groups at the run-down stadium collapsed as Juventus fans tried to escape from Liverpool supporters. As a result of the disaster, UEFA banned English clubs from taking part in European football for five years, with Liverpool serving an extra year. There has never been an official inquiry into the incident to find out exactly what happened. Thirty years on, Barry Davies shares his memories of the disaster.
