Speaking about Raheem Sterling’s reluctance to renew a contract with Liverpool FC, Phil Neville revealed to 5 live Sport that he had once signed a 7 year contract with Manchester United. Mark Chapman and the team poked fun at the loyal servant. “I think you need to be rewarded for your performances” said the former Red Devils defender. “I wanted a 10 year contract but they gave me a 7 year one.” “I think they kept rewarding me for my……… I can’t say performances can I?!?” Phil Neville made 263 senior appearances with United between the years 1995-2005 winning six Premier League titles and a European Champions League trophy.
