Can Trust Be Restored in Fifa?

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

The Fifa corruption scandal moves into extra time as the body's president, Sepp Blatter, refuses to resign in the wake of multiple arrests of top ranking officials. We look at the impact of his decision to stand firm and seek re-election for a fifth term in such troubling times, and look at other organisations around the world in similar situations. How do businesses manage their reputations, and can credibility make or break a business? Can NGOs harm a country's economy? The Indian government certainly thinks so, according to leaked documents that led to the freezing of Greenpeace's bank accounts in the country earlier this year. The freeze was temporarily lifted this week, but it highlights the problems that NGOs face working in countries which they criticise, says Areeba Hamid a campaigner with Greenpeace. US Cuban relations may be thawing, but Havana's seafront is freezing up, as a new ice-rink is installed. And, we take a look at the role and effect of religion in business with two guests on opposite sides of the pacific - Simon Littlewood, president at Asia Now consulting group who's in Singapore and from Princeton, New Jersey, Kevin Kruse professor of history at Princeton University.
