Regulators Examine Bogus Avon Bid

World Business Report

Available for over a year

US financial market regulators are looking into an apparent false bid for the cosmetics firm Avon, that sent the company's shares on a rollercoaster ride. We hear from John Fahy, a securities lawyer, who used to work at the SEC. And Brazil has declared an outbreak of Dengue fever as an epidemic. The government has blamed the outbreak on a severe drought affecting the southeast of the country, an area that includes Sao Paulo, Brazil's financial capital. We have a report from the BBC's South America Business Correspondent, Daniel Gallas. (Picture: Woman gets made up. Credit: Thos Robinson/Getty Images for Mary Kay.)
