Seventy years on it's difficult to imagine what life would have been like during the occupation of the Channel Islands – the only part of the British Isles occupied by the Germans in World War Two. The simple freedoms we take for granted today were taken from islanders. Homes were seized, food became scarce and a simple act of defiance could lead to terrible consequences. How do Germans living in the islands today feel about the occupation? The BBC’s Listening Project introduces us to Frank and Hubertus.
