The English National Opera: Hoping to revive its fortunes

Six O'Clock News

Available for over a year

Will Gompertz reports on how The ENO plans to remain relevant and cost-effective. The English National Opera is hoping to revive its fortunes during its new season, after announcing that it's cutting ticket prices and is turning to some old favourites and past successes. The ENO has been facing financial difficulties and turbulence off-stage. But, the company hopes the six new productions and five revivals --- including the Barber of Seville and La Boheme --- will provide an "artistic adventure" for audiences.
