The challenging logistics of post-disaster relief

World Business Report

Available for over a year

With rescuers struggling to reach earthquake-hit villages, we consider the logistics. Our guest is Jens Laerke from the UN team trying to co-ordinate the international relief effort. US President Barack Obama called the state visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe 'a celebration of the ties of friendship'. The BBC's chief business correspondent Linda Yueh tells us what the two leaders hope to gain from their time together. Meanwhile, Google has admitted it made mistakes in dealing with newspapers - but says it will make amends, partly with a $150 million fund to train newspaper journalists. We talk to Wilfried Ruetten of the European Journalism Centre, who tells us why some publications need help adapting to the digital world. Plus Matt Wells reports from the US on why some people think the era of retirement might be over.
