Can politicians be trusted? #FridayTakeover audience vote

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Each Friday during the election period we are running the #FridayTakeover: your opportunity to talk directly to politicians. Sian Astley, a self-employed property renovator, joined Drive's studio audience to ask the politicians about trust. She asked: "Why do politicians only really seem to listen when they think that the issue will affect how people actually vote for them?" After hearing responses from David Gauke (Conservatives), Lisa Nandy (Labour) Tom Brake (Lib Dems) and John Bickley (UKIP), the audience gave their verdict on whether they felt politicians could be trusted. This clip is originally from Drive as part of 5 live's General Election coverage.
