Russia and Cyprus' Curious Bond

Business Daily

Available for over a year

You might have thought Russians would think twice about Cyprus after losing billions in 2013's bank collapse. But not so, it seems, with closer ties agreed only last month. We get a report from the Mediterranean island. And we hear from a remarkably upbeat David Horgan, the managing director of the small oil producer, Petrel Resources, who reckons the 50% cut in the price of crude is actually an exciting business opportunity. Also, the BBC's Phil Mercer gives us the latest from the south Pacific island chain of Vanuatu, which was hit by a devastating cyclone last month.
