The 24th of March is the 70th anniversary of the Crossing of the Rhine - it was to be the last major battle that the 2nd Battalion The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry took part in during the Second World War. 92-year-old Sam Langford from Didcot was there - in one of hundreds of gliders that set off from Essex - as part of Operation Varsity - bound for occupied Germany.
