Lou Hannan

Available for over a year

A very rare survivor from the First World War is undergoing restoration work at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, ready to welcome visitors in time for her centenary celebration in August 2015. HMS M33 saw active service in Gallipoli and has been in dry dock, just starboard of HMS Victory for some 18 years. Now she's under restoration, and that work is being part funded in a unique way. Works been going on under a protective canopy - and BBC Radio Solent reporter Neil Sackley has been to see how the work is progressing. His guide is the project director from the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Matthew Sheldon.
