Backwash's BBC Introducing session

BBC Introducing

Available for over a year

Backwash started at high school as five mates who liked making a big noise! As the band grew they became a mix of ska-core, punk and emo. After winning a battle of the bands contest, they got to record their first CD - soon beginning to gig locally at venues like The Crown and The Marr's Bar. As their demo became heard, the band began to play venues further afield until the time was right for them to record all the new material they'd written. Spending two days in the studio with producer Greg Chandler, they recorded the mini album 'Bad Situations'. Continuing to play as many gigs as they could, Backwash have built up a reputation as a top class live band, being described as: "Like a pack of angry hamsters throwing one hell of a party in your brain". The group have released CDs under the Cradley-based record label Lockjaw Records. Sadly the band split up in 2008 - with occasion reformations.
