Will Self talks about his book Shark

Radcliffe and Maconie

Available for over a year

Mark Radcliffe is joined by author and wordsmith Will Self. His latest book Shark is based on an actual incident in WWII that was mentioned in the film Jaws. A Japanese ship sunk the American ship that had just delivered fissile material to be dropped on Hiroshima. 900 men were lost including 200 in the largest shark attack ever recorded. The book is set in the 1970s when the Creep, an American living in North London, tells maverick psychiatrist Zack Busner about shark attacks. Zack has to decide whether there is any truth to his tales.
